Stranger No71

This is Katherine with a 'K' a member of Queensbury Queens of the Mountain Cycle Club, Katherine stop to ask me if I had photographed the Kingfisher, I said it was flying much to fast,
Queensbury Queens of the Mountain CC (QQoM) an all-female cycling club which aims to encourage more women to get out on their bikes, formed in May 2016 with 27 ladies, they now have over 150 registered members.
Lovely shot. A great way to stay fit and a lovely place to cycle too.

Lovely portrait, interesting narrative. Do you write notes?? I'm on portrait #2, and have forgotten name, never mind interesting facts, as they walk awsy

@onewing Thank you Babs for your lovely comment, at least it’s flat around here on the other hand Queensbury is on top of the highest hill in West Yorkshire:)

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Thank you for your comment Jackie, interestingly my last stranger No70 was posted early October 2017, I stopped due to some negative comments about me only photographed ladies, I don’t take notes as such, my way to remember their name I mentally think of someone l know or someone famous with the same name, a trick from my working days:)

I suspect this photo is really good technically - the way Katherine's at a slight diagonal, the way she fills the lower part, the angle of the canal and towpath, the small figures in the background - the colours and saturation! How nice that she wanted to make sure you'd seen the kingfisher - and what a lovely reward that we all know a bit about her and what's important to her :-)

A nice shot of Katherine on the towpath along the canal (I love your canals, Peter! I'm so envious!) Her colours give a great pop to the scene! And what a wonderful narrative, too! Fav

@pcoulson

Oops, saw 'stopped' but missed '2017' - thanks for explanation, Peter! Strangely enough men feature more than women in my strangers but I would not stop because of others' comments - maybe do understand your reasons more.....
