Loved the geometric shadows cast on the side of this 1960's era motel. I saw them from the street and had to stop the car for photos. Two hotel workers on a smoke break watched me dubiously and finally inquired as to what exactly I was photographing. I'm pretty sure they weren't particularly impressed when I told them why, the great shadows, of course! My son, who is a computer programming buff, titled it for me.
Perfect title, without the help I might have missed the best part of this! I'm so happy you see these things and bring them to us. Great composition and tones--we don't even see the gaps that are making the digits!

It's funny because a year ago something like this would have never caught my eye, put a camera in my hand and like you, now I do u-turns for things.. love the geometric patterns and shadows here.. well worth the stop ( and curious gaze of onlookers)
Nice shot! Well, you have reached another 365 milestone- you've made people wonder what you are doing! lol My neighbors have probably thought the same things as they watch me wander around the front yard with my camera and then start taking pictures of the rocks and trees! Good shot!
What a great find! I think lots of us are in danger of car crashes as we spot cool things to shoot! Isn't it great to look at the world this way! Very inspiring.
@mandapanda1971 You are so right! My peripheral vision is working overtime when driving since starting this project. I have to remind myself to watch the road! On the plus side, I notice that I have slowed down a lot so no risk of speeding tickets!
Another interesting geometric shot with a clever title. I've been asked a few times what I'm doing - usually when I'm crouching on the ground photographing flowers.
Well seen and captured - love the geometry and the shadows. Don't you just love it when you have to try to explain to people what you're taking pictures of?
Your son nailed the title, and I think this is a very interesting photo. The dark squares are somehow ominous, although I can't put my finger on it. Bruce Grayum (a 365'er) and I were photographing motel signs a couple of months ago and got a lot of curious attention from the owners, not always impressed with us.
Oh, well spotted Lisa. Those shadows are just like the old computer digits we used to have on our old dos computers. Love the geometric shapes here. I would have missed this completely. You have a great eye for a shot.
What you have there is The Answer.

What worries me is that beluga posted Marvin yesterday: http://365project.org/beluga/365/2013-03-21
I LOVE this shot. Especially in B&W. and the title, too
