I just returned from a day long photography class outing to a desert canyon with very unusual rock formations. I have yet to sort through the many photos I took, but this detailed shot jumped out at me on download. I love the colors and patterns in the rock and the splash of green foliage. Amazingly, this tree and others like it grow in the crevices of the rock face. It's a wonder to see life thriving in such a harsh environment.
Thanks so much for the many comments and favs for my "Storm Watchers" shot. I was so pleased with the response that image received!
I am sorry if I haven't been by to visit your album in the last few days. It's been busy here but I hope to catch up soon!
This has great color and texture. Love it!!. I went to a photography club BBQ today...it was really a great experience too! The more we do the more we learn!
This is stunning! I love the way the green looks like it is so much in alien territory, a total surprise to see it growing there. And the details on the rock face is fantastic.
extremely beautiful - great composition and extraordinary the way nature adapts to survive on the minimum - caper plants grow out of crack too but the climate less harsh here
Lisa, this is a phenomenal composition! Love that splash of green foliage against that gorgeous background. Fav! Wish I could join your photography experience!
Love the textures, the green against the reddish-brown bark and the composition. I am really looking forward to viewing more of your photos from your course trip! :-)
