My photography club was invited to photograph the dogs and cats at an animal shelter this past weekend. The photos will be used by the shelter to advertise the pets for adoption. It was a great opportunity to photograph animals and hopefully help this important cause. May they all find forever homes!
Thank you all for your many comments and FAVS for my photo "A Thousand Springs" which made the TT last week. I was beyond thrilled by your responses. It is such an honor to get this kind of feedback. Thank you many times over!
@taffy Thank you, Taffy. It was hard to see the animals. I wanted to take them all home! Thankfully, this was a no-kill shelter. They keep the animals as long as it takes for them to be placed.
Lisa, you got some fantastic shots of the orphan cats. I can't help but think that your efforts will lead to homes for these guys. I have been thinking about volunteering to photograph at our animal shelter thinking the animals have a better chance with good photos to pique interest. You did a good thing.
Wow - amazing photos in this collage! What a lovely idea of the shelter - they're able to advertise without the costs of employing a photographer and you're all able to practice your skills! I'm sure these moggies will find a loving home as a result of these fab pics!
It must have afforded you a great deal of satisfaction to put your skills to such a good cause. Great montage and sweet and beautiful captures. Love the come hither look of the model top right.
What a fantastic collage! And how great to promote such a worthy cause! I'd love to be in a Photography Club! But there is no such thing in my teeny tiny town. Hmmm . . . maybe I'll have to start one!
@kareenking You should consider it, Kareen! Check out www.meetup.com to see if there are any MeetUps in your area. It's an easy way to connect with people who have similar interests.
@dulciknit Thank you, Alison. I had to laugh at your "come hither" description. A perfect description! It was indeed very satisfying to put this hobby to good use. If it helps to match an owner and pet, I'll be thrilled!
I want to adopt them all! But that's probably not a good idea because I'm allergic to cats and it might just finish me off. I hope they all find homes soon.
with appreciation. She loves this collage and it is on their FB page now..
