I visited this field of wild flowers about two hours away from where I live in the hopes of catching a memorable sunset. You know how it goes with sunsets.. you never know what the last light of day will reveal until the moment it arrives. This sunset turned out to be one of the most beautiful that I have ever witnessed. I stood alone in the middle of the field of flowers and gasped at beauty in every direction. I loved this view of the last fiery glow of sunlight against the purple flowers and hills. Pure magic.
Pure magic indeed! So amazingly awesome! Triple fav, Did you take hundreds? And how did you tear yourself away? And did you really drive 2 hours away for some photos?? You are incredible, well done.
I imagined standing there with you as I read your narrative, Lisa. It's so breathtaking. A piece of heaven on earth. Thanks for capturing it for us. Fav!
@lleo Thank you, Gwenllian! Yes, 90 miles one way and I did take 100's - there were gorgeous views in every direction and the light was constantly changing so always a new must take shot. I will be posting a couple more of my favorites this week. On the downside, it is a very marshy area so there was an insane amount of mosquitos! I didn't prepare for that (no bug spray!) and they had me for dinner. Oh well, it was worth it! Thanks again for your comment and fav.
It is so rewarding to open this album. I am amazed that you are using F22. It turned out so good. Must try one day. It must have been a cathartic moment being along in the middle of the field. I envy you.
Lisa this is truly breathtaking! You may like the detail shots I take, but you have the ability to take such gorgeous landscapes! I'm glad you like to visit my album. I always enjoy coming to yours as well.
Oh yes, pure magic! I can picture that wonderful feeling standing there alone witnessing the spectacular art work of nature, so beautiful especially with those flowers and mist covered mountains
Stunning, gorgeous and every other superlative adjective in the dictionary. A fav, of course. Great eye, wonderful subject and wonderful image. So glad you got there at sunset.
