I did warn you that I would be adding more photos from my visit to the Great Salt Lake... and here comes another view of this beautiful landscape. Fun fact: the bands of black in the foreground sand are actually tiny sand flies. As you approach them, they fly away in unison like a school of fish. At first I was rather squeamish about them, but once I realized they only wanted to get away from me, we got along just fine!

What an amazing place - another for my list Lisa - I better start eating more healthily. The flies are fascinating - we can get loads on the seaweed here and they never really bother anyone
