Guess who has an eye on my bird feeder!

Yesterday I showed you a pic of my new bird feeder. I also noticed this squirrel has it's eye to it too.

Very nice shot. I can see his brain whirling. They are quite smart, I say with experience. I used to watch the squirrels steal the acorns right out from under the eyes of the woodpeckers. The woodpeckers could see the squirrel’s paw but wasn’t smart enough to go around what the squirrel was hiding behind.

I knew it would be a problem so I went to Wild Birds Unlimited and got lots of help on what kind of feeder and where to place it. The squirrels have never successfully gotten any seed from the main feeder. The red squirrel can fly out on the one with the Nutter Balls but he doesn't eat enough to worry me. You can buy online but you need to know not to hang where they can reach out and grab the feeder and bring to them. https://www.wbu.com/products/squirrel-proof/
