old steel work waste

Along the west coastal path we happened upon these bucket shaped waste from the old steel works. There is evidence of coal pits and steel workings along the coast here, and I find them very interesting, it tells us of our past.

great shot. Love the way they were dumped whilst marching all in line. Seems like there is a path there too. They do blend well with the landscape, looking like they came out of the Roman Empire age
