You are going exactly the same route as our daughter. They ended up here after cycling from Lake Bled all the way down to Tarvisoi, Udine & on to Grado stopping at lovely hotels on the way. Luggage went on before them, they loved it & gorgeous countryside. Funny when we live quite near you anyway.
@happypat sounds a great way to do it. We are making our way across the top of northern Italy towards france then we shall shoot up last minute to Calais ferry at end of month.
