So far my friends have been pretty tolerant of my picture-taking, like when I stopped every few minutes on a recent walk. I love the photo, tho-- did you just happen to be carrying your camera with a telephoto in your front garden, or did you sit waiting for a shot?
Thank you @barbcapecod and @gnilrets for your lovely comments. The flowers are just outside my living room window so I waited until there were a few bees on them and sprinted outside with my little point and shoot. My son had fits of hysterics as he watched through the window as each bee either moved around the flowers out of view or flew away. He did help by pointing out where more bees were though and after about 5 minutes I took this shot.
