Ray's butterfly

Yesterday my friend and I were enjoying the sunshine in my garden. One of these beautiful creatures fluttered in and out again in an instant! Today my friend rang and said she was at her fella's and there were loads of the butterflies I wanted to capture on a flowering bush in his garden - camera in hand I hot-footed it round there and here is my 46th attempt!
lovely shot of that peacock butterfly on a buddleia bush. It's not surprising that the buddleia is called the butterfly bush,is it. Peacock butterflies are so beautiful, I love their colours

This is gorgeous -- is this a butterfly or moth -- looks to be in the moth family -- nevertheless -- great capture Jane!

Thank you all so much for your generous comments, they really made my day! I have a buddleia which overhangs from next door into my garden but it is too tall for me to capture the butterflies! It certainly looked like a moth when its wings were closed but I really don't know, I just know it was pretty !!!
