This is the inside of my burglar alarm control panel. It was emitting a gentle occasional beep to warn me of a low battery. In an attempt to fix this I managed to get it to create a louder continual sound. I then rang my friendly engineer who informed me the only way to stop this was to open the panel and disconnect it's battery which resulted in a full blown noise for 15 minutes and now a non-working alarm! Oh well at least it's quiet now!
@shamrockinmom aww gee thanks so much for noticing my absence and for missing me - had a couple of tough days when being social was just too much - hopefully things are sorted so I'm back at least for now :-) x

Wasn't sure about this but it was a shot which summed up my day and one I hope not to have opportunity to get again
ssh don't tell - but I'm still waiting for the engineer!
