The comedian Jason Manford has bought 500 advent calendars and selection boxes to donate to food banks. He is encouraging his Facebook followers to buy an extra one and do the same. Here's the one I donated on behalf of my son as I decided he's too old for one now

A younger member of our badminton group, mentioned this week he was getting a Tequila Advent Calendar :)
I've not heard of seen of these, but its worth a look out.
