The Masked Marvel

Just happened to have watched Spiderman 3 last night from Marvel studios thus I have named this american goldfinch Masked Marvel, having watched spiderman change in and out of his masks many times last night. Not a movie I would recommend, however it did inspire this narrative.

Gold finches; nature's woodland ornaments! They brighten up a tree like a light bulb. What amazes me is how he flies into this thorny jungle without getting himself stabbed. Wonderful pic, funny narrative.

@lyndemc the thorny trees are in fact Plumtrees although they look threatening I suspect they offer great protection for all the smaller birds as we do occasionally have larger hawks flying through the yard and the birds scatter into the Plumtrees for protection.
