Have you had large flocks of evening grosbeaks? Their population has crashed since about 20 years ago, but seems to be recovering. What part of northern Ontario (north of Lake Superior)? I live in Duluth, and there are some flocks of evening grosbeaks in the area, but not in huge numbers.
@richardhoeg I'm in northeastern Ontario north of North Bay, the last few years we haven't had alot of grosbeaks, however this year I'm noticing more of them. Recently we had a flock of 20 around the feeder, haven't seen that for the last couple of years.
