Although I live in Northern Ontario and we do have many black bears, however, they are all in hibernation right now. This fellow whose head is on the left and at this angle looks like a bear, is really a black Angus cow! I posted it because it really did look like a bear at the time.

I can see where one might think they'd come across a bear - from that angle looks awfully similar in color and shape. Sure would have taken me back at the time. Glad you captured it. (I would have still been shaking - even after I knew it was a cow!)
I too would've assumed it was a bear at first glance because it seems more likely that's what you'd see in a wooded area like this. Lucky Angus, getting to roam in such beautiful places.
