An ostrich in the beach! We rode bicycles along the coast on our way to Cape Point ( in heavy winds- gusting about 40 miles per hour!) when all of a sudden I spotted several ostriches running near the side of the road. Here they make beautiful purses out of ostrich and many restaurant menus feature it on their menu. I may have had some the other night for dinner... it was delicious grilled:)
We certainly don't see Ostriches unless at the zoo here in Maryland. Great and interesting capture. Don't know how you managed it in 40 mph wind gusts.
Great capture of this pre-dinner, pre purse creature! Have you seen the interesting painted ostrich eggs? Some are hokey but we found a few that were intriguing and managed to get one home safely.
