Lake Tahoe's Emerald Bay is a designated National Natural Landmark and its waters are part of an underwater state park. The view from the bluff overlooking the bay is mesmerizing. I wanted to be on that little sailboat gliding through the clear blue water!
I was in the Lake Tahoe area on May 22nd too! We were going to go to Emerald Bay that day but got mesmerized by Fallen Leaf Lake and Glen Alpine Falls and used up all our time there! Gorgeous photo! :)
@gardenfolk Wasn't that day perfect! The sky was so clear and blue and the snow capped peaks towering over the lake were so beautiful! We had so much fun. Drove around the entire lake which took about 4 hours with photo stops.
