Six black swans were swimming in an “ornamental lake” near my table at an outdoor restaurant this afternoon. When I stood up to get a closer look, they all swam within a couple feet of where I was standing so I grabbed an iPhone shot. Later I met their trainer who told me the swans are native to Australia and that it was a sign of good luck that the swans had approached me. Their black feathers and bright red beaks were stunning.
