Year 2 Day 81
Went to see YLT last night, and they were great as usual. This time they were their own support band and decided to let fate decide the opening set. A member of the audience was invited on stage to spin the wheel and the band would perform whatever the wheel chose. Choices included "Songs Beginning with S", "Songs with Names in the Title", "Sounds of Science" and "Sitcom Theatre". The winning choice was Sitcom Theatre and the band preceded to re-enact an episode of Judge Judy from the 90s featuring John Lydon (aka Johnny Rotten). To be honest it wasn't that good but after a short break they returned to play a great set. We even got to meet the band for a chat in the bar after the show. If I'd known that was going to happen I probably wouldn't have had that fourth bottle of Newcastle Brown!
@shenay they're not particularly famous. I'd never heard of them till the late 90s. And I'm fairly certain their biggest hit got to about no 37 or something.
see I knew there were many reason why I liked you! LOVE YLT and have seen them tons. Matter of fact they were on the same record label as my husband for a short while and they did a few shows together way back in the early 90's
