Blue Heron Sunning!

Not sure what this posture is doing, but there were several of them on this bank, doing the same thing. I believe that this one also fluffed itself up, as it feathers are all out of place.

How strange they look like that! I've caught one with the wings out once - I figured he was drying them but may have been "tanning". Neat shot.
