Yesterday the weather was nice and I was supposed to take outdoorsy photos in the Peak District to mark Kinder 80, but I had such a busy day and I completely forgot in my desperation to get home, only remembering well into the evening.

I thought I would take my Peaky photo today instead but it has been so windy and pouring down all day there was no way I was faffing about outdoors so I improvised indoors, a day late. (I'm so annoyed I forgot yesterday, I have been tempted to swap my photos around but I think non-chronological photos would be more annoying!)

Last year my beautiful home area, the Peak District, celebrated its 60th 'birth' day and yesterday marked the 80th anniversary of the Kinder Trespass, without which we wouldn't have Peak Park or any walks to take.

Ha ha - better late than never - nice one - with the map as a background. You are very lucky to live somewhere so beautiful - it's one of my favourite places - dating from a school geology trip to Castleton.

Great historical references. Wow, 80 years since the Kinder Trespass. I would have guessed 50. We regularly visit the Peak District, so thanks for the history lesson, I wll share it at the tea table tonight.
