Monthly reads - a regular feature in my 365 project - towards the end of each month I photograph the books I have read. This pile makes it 28 books so far this year.
Thats a lot of reading!

I've got The Natural Navigator! Can't do this with a Kindle, well it would be a pretty boring photograph, unlike the real books.

Impressive!

Book freak, like me! I've read 23 so far, though most are enormous. I use Goodreads to keep my books ordered. Nice to see you reading actual books rather than using a Kindle :)

@cally

no way! I don't like Kindles! Is it really so hard to carry a book or two?!

@roachling Books feel right, don't have that horrible loading screen (where the whole thing goes black then appears with words on), look nice on the shelf, have a lovely smell (at least most new books do). They feel comforting too. We have about 3500 in our house, with nary a Kindle in sight!

I feel exactly the same! I've never even seen a real kindle so didn't know about the loading screen. I can't see the appeal at all. I've never counted our books but we have loads too - and long wish lists as well!

@roachling My Dad has a bookcase in my parents bedroom dedicated to his "to-read" pile, and he has filled it (floor to ceiling, doubled up if possible) and has a pile on his chest of drawers. Specific reason he has the bookcase is to stop that happening! He has filled his library, in an attic room above my bedroom, and the floor is bending. Looking forward to the day I have books raining on my bed. And my to-read pile is over 100 books. We are going well :)
