I love, love, love this area. I grew up in this photo and spent half my childhood playing on all those rocks - wonderful, country bumpkin childhood with lots of happy memories.
This is the same view I took on a hot, sunny day in April but the heather has since bloomed and faded and today was very autumnal - cool, very windy, sunshine and showers.
Lovely landscape in the wonderful Peak District. It seems an eternity since one of my first 365 shots in the Peak District back in January!! I love the poem on your blog.
@roachling Thanks Louise. I very much enjoyed your blog. Though I am originally from teh south coast, I consider the East Mids to be my 2nd home now, and love the Peak District so much. I fond it to be one of England's most unspoiled areas, and have been in love with it since early D of E expeditions sleeping under the stars in the early 1980s!

Thanks, I have checked out your photo! You probably drove right past these rocks that day!
