Today I went for a walk to find us a 'stickmas tree'. I have some little stars hanging on it, which I love because they look icy and wintry, and a variety of other things - various decorations including three owls, 2 pheasants and a hedgehog (he lives amongst pince cones at the base) and this year, I've added little baubles as well though I'm not sure if I like them or prefer it without. My pheasants usually go at the top of the tree but this one doesn't really have a top so they've just gone in amongst the other birds, you can see one of them on the left. It was dark by the time I carried my branch home, cut it down to fit and decorated it so the lighting isn't the best.
This is a lovely idea. I love the animal idea. To keep a more natural or nature look maybe you could add snowflakes or something similar instead of the baubles. The shot is nice, the shadows are lovely.

What a creative festive idea and it's more representative of the country we love in and what we are most likely to see outdoors at this time of year
