The old saying is true this year. Saturday was fair and bright (but very cold) and today it is snowing again. Not much here but there is more further north, around Castleton and Sheffield.

Not the greatest photo, taken at full zoom from the kitchen, but I'm trying to use fewer fillers this month (I used 10 in January) so would rather have a dull view to record the day than a filler.

I think the long zoom has made this look a little soft - I like the effect, it add to the calm mood.

Thanks, it was a little misty and it was actually snowing heavily as I took this, I think that's also what makes it look so soft.

no, it came down thick and fast this afternoon, enough to close school early but then rained afterwards so it has all gone now. You can only see the snow coming down in this photo in the full size image, not the one on here.

Same thing happened here: big fat flakes and a howling gale for a while, but all gone now.
