Spring afternoon at Bolton Abbey

We visited Bolton Abbey today and did a ten mile walk. I had a lot of photos to choose from but I just kept coming back to this one, I think it's the nice light and all the people in the scene that grab my attention.

I'm playing catch up this week, lots of photos to sort through.

Have just been and viewed the web site looks very impressive hopefully combine with the Settle to Carlisle train also a must

I like all the people in the scene as well. Particularly those on and around the stepping stones. That looks to be a big gap in the middle even more so with a stand-off lol

yes, it was a big gap, there's a stone missing! Earlier in the day we saw a man try to cross it and fall in the water, but most people made it! One of the stones has washed away recently and others are loose. They can't be fixed until the water level drops.
