I went out looking for curlews again, intending to take some nice shots of the cotton grass while I was there. I kind of had an image in mind but it was windy and the best patches of the cotton grass were not easily accessible, at least not in my school shoes. All the curlews were hanging out too far away too so I didn't take any photos I actually like, but I love to be out on the moors and I do like the fluffiness of the grass heads in this, even if it's nothing like the picture I had in mind. It looks better viewed small! I'll take the DSLR and my wellies and try again soon!

Thank you. I've not yet taken a good shot of a curlew but you can see some in flight in my pictures for 20th and 22nd May. I hope I'll get a better shot of one soon too!
