My last day at school :(
I went to this school myself when I was 5 and then went back to work there 11 years ago. I love it - it's a beautiful place to be, where I grew up, surrounded by beautiful countryside and rolling moorlands, plus the rocks that feature here often. It's hard to believe I now have to go to work in a city school. I did my last playground duty this morning and will miss all the tractors that come up to the playground with my rural children - they were "haymaking" with the grass cuttings. I now have six weeks off work (though I'm officially still employed at the above school until 31st August) and then I move to my new, city school (*sob*!) and go back to university.
Thank for all your comments - I am gutted to leave 'my' school but I am also excited to be moving on and I know I have a fantastic opportunity ahead of me that I'm going to get a lot out of and enjoy - as Judith said, onwards and upwards!
A lovely collage, enjoy your next challenge and you never know one day you might be back ...
ps I thought it was now illegal to beat little boys knees? @judithg
