I've taken a photo on this view on the same day of every month this year. See the others via the tag on the right - 'roachling15th'.
I don't like how the sky looks in this but I can't do anything about that as I lack both technical ability and equipment. The horizon looks a bit blurry/odd as there was low cloud so from that level and below, out of frame, it's was misty.
Lovely view Louise. Don't think the horizon looks odd, you can easily see the hills through the mist and low cloud. Great detail of the fields in the distance!

Yes, I have three monthly scenes on the go and an plan to make collages at the end of the year. As well as this view, there are two trees that I'm also photographing each month - both coming up here over the next week.
It's a great composition with the tree just to the side. Lovely view, it just undulates so think that is what makes the horizon seem odd to you, I think it's fine.
