It looks like a misty woodland but that isn't mist - it was heavy rain. I think you may just be able to see some splashes in the puddle in the middle.
Blue sky, sunshine and some gorgeous autumn colours tempted us out into the woods for a walk this afternoon, but twenty minutes in the sky suddenly turned black and there was a cracking thunderstorm with really heavy rain and hail. We were absolutely dripping wet and feeling cold and miserable. The rain drenched every layer we were wearing and we trudged back to the car along flooding paths, then found the car sitting in a little flood of its own, so we kept the wellies on!
Oh well, it's always kind of fun when that happens and we're now home, warm and dry.
Very beautiful scene, looks magical and mysterious! Bet you got very wet!! Fav Louise, I thought this was a really lovely misty image when I first saw it :)
Glad you made it home safely. How difficult it must be to shoot in the rain, but it looks like you did very well! I find the mood and tone of your landscape shots to be very compelling. I really enjoy them! You have a very nice project!

Thanks! I tried to save my camera by putting it inside my coat, but the rain was so heavy and I hadn't worn a waterproof, that is got wet in my coat anyway so I got it out and started snapping anyway!
