I didn't take a photo yesterday, I haven't taken many this week at all, so I'm filling the slot with this photo I took yesterday of the books I have read this month.

The Secret Garden has been one of my favorite books since I was a child. I identified strongly with the undervalued, misunderstood Mary Lennox. I love folk tales as well, also love the name Beamish. I hope to visit the Peak District on my next trip to England. So good choices all! Can't post mine because they're all e-books!

Was the secret garden serialised on tv long ago, it was well done. What are you up to, I know you weren't sure what to do. Hope you resolved things.

An interesting mix of literature. I haven't read the secret garden, but was hunting for new books so may well take a look at this one to find out more!! ;)

Love walking in the Peaks what is Macclesfield forest like .

Macclesfield Forest is a pleasant enough place to walk, but it is a working pine plantation and I've had some lovely walks there. Tegg's Nose is a nice too. I think the areas around it are netter for walking than the forest itself though, have a look at an OS map of the area perhaps and see which areas you like the look of, but here are some links to walks / places nearby that might provide some inspiration
