A rare event

I guess this is a diary shot, I didn't take any photos and only remembered at this point that I needed to snap something.

I went to the cinema tonight (as in a proper, big cinema) and saw a current film. It's the first in quite a few years I've seen a new film in chain cinema, last one was Wall-E which I think makes it 2008. I didn't really go through choice - I was bought a ticket and told I was going, so I went with 5 others to see Godzilla in 3D. It was also the first time I've seen a 3D film and I still don't understand the need for it. I'm quite happy with 2D lol!

I don't go the movies much myself, although I have some favourite films on DVD. The last time I went "out" to see a film was for Finding Vivian Maier--which was very good, by the way.

Before I read the description I assumed that the rare even was the candy! the boys said Godzilla was fun and worth seeing on the big screen.

Luann wants to see Godzilla. We won't see3D though, I am not really a fan as I find the glasses really uncomfortable! Hope you enjoyed the film.

The film was ok, but I found the glasses uncomfortable too, I kept taking them off and watching a slightly blurry 2D version! I don't think it was worth seeing in 3D anyway, apparently some films are made for it and worth it, but I don't think Godzilla was!

This is a cool shot! Oddly enough, the least movie I'd seen in a theater was also Wall-E! And only because it was over 100 degrees and theaters have AC. But we had a gift certificate and went last month to a great theater, but really crummy movie!
