This rather wet pheasant was on the workshop roof for at least 4 hours today! I suspect he was too wet to fly down to the ground (can that happen?!) but then I wonder how he got up there in the first place (unless he spent the night there!).
He spent a lot of time just wandering around on the roof. We threw a few handfuls of raisins up for him which he (and some blackbirds) appreciated.
The rain eased for a while and he dried out a little and then I saw him fly down to the field about two hours after this photo was taken.
