365 Days Wild - Day 143 (100 Days Happy - Day 30)

When I arrived home from school I noticed one of the spiders living in the hedge was building a new web. I stood and watched for a while, taking a few minutes to appreciate the work going into it and marvelling at how they do it!

This evening I attended Derbyshire Wildlife Trust's AGM to hear Tony Juniper speak. I read one of his books last month (it was brilliant - I think everyone should have to read it --> http://www.tonyjuniper.com/content/what-has-nature-ever-done-us) and I bought one of his other books which he signed. I do like buying books from the author and having them signed!

Lovely shot, and it is amazing to watch them build their webs. Wonderfully clever little creatures.

Love your dof here, the strands of web, the light and the drops, fav. Will follow your link for the book, it sounds interesting.

Lovely shot showing how these little creatures make their webs. I often wondered which part they made first.
