365 Days Wild - Day 354

I went to do my now regular Thursday tadpole check today. I can't easily keep the weekly tadpole development series going now that they've dispersed and are all over the pond and very well hidden, but I did see a few so there are still tadpoles around.

The water mint is getting quite tall now in the pond, lily pads are reaching the surface and there's some bogbean flowering now (pictured).

I did add the best I can do for a tadpole photo to today's wild blog for anyone who wants to see it as I know a few people have enjoyed the tadpole series, but it's a case of seeing a tail of you squint a bit this week!

Going to have to look out for these. They are fascinating little flowers with those hairy petals. Great macro and a fav.

This flower is very pretty. I guess that learning to hide is part of the process of tadpole development.
