The Cherry Tree

I take a photo of two of this photo every year for my project and it's interesting to have them to look back on and compare how early or late it blossoms each year. This evening I've given the photos a tag, 'march cherry tree' so I can easily see them all together. Today was a very grey, dull day and as you can see, there are buds on the tree but not flowers yet... won't be long though.

I had the afternoon off school today in lieu of working extra during the week as I had a lot to catch up on at home. It's been a funny week, out of routine and busy, so I've not been here but have just caught up with uploading. I have another busy day ahead tomorrow with Wildlife Trust work but I'll have a comment catch up session at some point soon!

Interesting comparing your last year's shot to this one.I suppose the temperatures are taking a while to lift this year I can't remember what it was like last year..

Great idea to tag the photo! Really interesting to know the time for flowering each year. I look forward to seeing it in blossom. Cherries are one of my favourites.
