Muddy boots and natural treasure

I did the last Wildlings session on the Roaches this morning, I didn't have time to take photos as I was leading it today as the 'boss' is on training this week.

After the session I swapped my wellies for my school shoes and on the way to school stopped to collect some conkers and horse chestnut leaves - we're introducing a nature table in my class this week (as mentioned in a blog post yesterday) - exciting!
Nice autumnal collection I can identify with the mud from yesterday's car parking incident :)

@gamelee Thanks... I'm not one of those people that rearrange things for photos really - in this case, that's how I arrived at school, wellies, leaves and conkers in the footwell and I thought it was a good representation of my my day so took a photo. I did open the bag wider so you could see the conkers though as the light was reflecting off the bag before I opened it.

Great composition - there seems to be so many conkers this year. I'm sure the pupils at your school will enjoy seeing and touching them and your forest school sessions - so important to encourage them to be in touch with nature.
