I made three of these for my new nature table corner at school and was going to have all three in the photo but managed to accidentally break two of them! I had to collect more sticks and make two more but I'm glad as I remembered I had some silver speckled wool on a wildplay creation at home so used that instead of plain white string for the other two and they look great!
Louise, I've used your idea today. The children in Reception are investigating all things spider and after visiting the school garden some of them (with a little bit of help to start) made their own webs just like this one. The glitter fairy visited and most are now covered in glitter too! Thank you.
@flowerfairyann oh that's brilliant! I'm glad my photo inspired you! I should say, this wasn't actually my idea - it's the kind of thing we do at Wildplay sessions and is probably seen on forest school and outdoor learning pages all over pinterest and similar places so I didn't invent this, just used what I knew!
