Perigee full moon by roachling

Perigee full moon

At its closest to earth and the second full moon this month. I didn't intend to take another photo of the moon but my day didn't go entirely to plan due to a 7 hour power cut at home.

I ended up spending a few hours at the house, where there was power, (as I couldn't do anything at home this evening without electric). It was a productive evening. Instead of having to upload a house progress photo, I took this from a window between jobs.

I might make it a mission to photograph each full moon in 2018 - but that's a rather tall order in Britain, cloudy nights will probably make that impossible!

Indeed, it has clouded over now and is currently snowing (and sticking) so I am - of course - hoping it will hang around and grant me a snow day tomorrow!
Sharp and bright. Lovely capture.

A very clear shot Louise. I was going to take a shot of the supermoon, which was also a blue moon and a blood red moon, but to me it just looked the same as normal. So I didn't. Love this one though

What a big treat and what a lovely shot! I'm very envious - it was thick cloud here so I never got to see it.
