Newt tadpole

A voluntary day with Derbyshire Wildlife trust for Wild Wednesday. I did quite a bit of pond dipping and the pond was packed full of newt tadpoles and 'leaf sandwiches', each containing the caterpillars of Chinese mark moths. There were dragonflies flying around too. The water level is very low though, on the limit of actually being able to reach to dip a net in!
Huey and martha would just love this

@brennieb It's on at Carsington Water for the next 4 Wednesdays, 11am - 3pm! Pond dipping is only on for a short time, probably midday ish, and there are other crafty things to do if they choose too. It's costs a little bit per child, depending on how much they want to do, put it's a small amount per activity.
