It felt quite wrong to be walking in the Peak District in February with bare arms, trousers rolled up to my knees and still too hot! Lovely sunshine, but weird weather.
Lovely photo and a great blog post with some fantastic photos in there. They really tell a story. Hartington is a favourite of mine - lots of relatives buried in the churchyard - one with the George Eliot quote beautifully inscribed. A great grandmother lived at 2 Church Steps. Cheese shop definitely worth a visit!
@dailydelight ah lovely... would you believe, I've never been into the churchyard! Perhaps I will next time and I'll look out for the quote!
@dailydelight@brennieb It really is a small world isn't it, with three of us on 365 having some connection to Hartington! I don't have any relatives (that I know of!) buried there but my gran (30+ years ago) worked at the cheese factory (in the offices, not making cheese) so I remember going to open days there as a child and, long after she retired, we'd regularly visit Hartington with my grandparents on a Saturday!
