I've had a very busy month, especially towards the end (now I'm working again) and so have had a literary diet of easy reads this month - fiction around 300 pages mostly - yet still only managed 6 books.
I didn't rate A Cottage in a Wood very highly but liked the others, especially the new Peak District set crime series I started with this first book, The Devil's Dice. I look forward to reading the second book in this series.
@gilbertwood@overalvandaan haha, let me remind you I don't have children or any regular commitments outside of work, so after household chores and any other must do jobs, I have the option to spend all my free time reading, if I choose to! That's the only reason I can read so much!
I was out of the house 8am-6pm is most days last week which I'm struggling with as I've always worked half days before and therefore had plenty of time to keep on top of everything else.
After one week, I feel like perhaps I should have stuck with the school job after all but we'll see. Once I've settled into a routine and got the hang of everything I have to do I may feel differently.
It hasn't been bad so far, just different I suppose. I am glad it's just a 6 month contract though - I know I can't happily sustain working this many hours in a week as it affects my home life too much and ruins the weekends a little bit!
@gilbertwood yep, we do need to improve :-)
Louise, it's great to see your passion for nature and for reading. I have several books now which I bought because I saw them on your 365 project and of those books (six) I've read four! And 'The boy who spoke to the earth' is one of Sep's (my second son) favorite books.
