A play in the mud kitchen before heading home after a pleasant walk at RSPB Coombes Valley (it has been so long since we last visited, but it's a nice place for a toddler to explore so sure we'll be back again much sooner!).
Nice bit of yellow slime mould on the mud kitchen too!

I wasn’t a very good mother with messy play, I hate it, so I’m afraid my daughter rarely did it. Seems I passed it on too, because she avoids it with her children too….
@carole_sandford That's a shame! I confess, I'm not so keen on indoor mess but I do suffer it as the benefits far outweigh my short term pain, haha! Outdoors he can get as dirty as he likes - I don't think I really count mud as mess, it's just what happens when you go outside for me!
