They're so cool because while they hide well, when you do see them, they're pretty undisturbed. They don't have many predators! He's gorgeous!

When I took the trash out 2 nights ago,
some movement caught the corner of my eye.
It hopped, then hopped again, right toward me,
but about 25 meters away. A rabbit! I thought.
Kind of bold, but...
Then it flew silently away.
I'm pretty sure it was the barred owl that lives around here.
Interesting creatures of the night.
