Mitey Small by robv

Mitey Small

An attempt to shoot one of the Two-spotted Spider Mites infesting my Adenium somaliense at 5X handheld. Cropped a bit so the image is closer to 7X at 100%. What a pain! Can't hardly see what I'm trying to focus on through the viewfinder and the DOF is super narrow. It's either under the scope next time or cobble together a stable rig.
Love the focus

For something so, so tiny, it's a pretty good shot!

Wow...I can see it's legs! Pretty good focus, if you ask me!

@cheribug The body is about 0.4mm long, that's a full grown female. You can see the damage to the leaf from their feeding and the webbing they produce for shelter and to deter predators.

First thing I spotted was the web.....it is so hard to capture webs in the first place, much less with their tiny resident.....nice job!
