Jubilee Pool in Penzance in Cornwall was opened in the early 1930's. It was severely damaged in the 2014 storms and has been closed until today... the whole town was invited down for a free swim. It is one of the only remaining salt-water open air lidos in the country and is one of the main focal points of the town. A bit too nippy for a dip for me today but there were lots of hardy folk taking the plunge.
@congaree Thank you.... I really wanted the diving girls all facing the same way but the wind had other ideas. @julienne1 Thanks... there was talk of demolishing it but there has been lots of local fundraising and it was saved.
