Eddie - a neighbour's cat - came in for the first time in over a week and did her customary inspection of all the available rooms in my house. She was too distracted by the sound of birdsong to fall asleep, so she lay on her back with her front paws in the air for a while.
@octogenarian Eddie has a secret life! Her owners aren't too keen on her visiting neighbours, but I don't blame them. Not long after they moved here, Eddie went missing for five days. It turned out that she had hitched a ride to the next town, and was found near a fish and chip shop! She still likes to run towards open doors, regardless of whether it's a house or a car.
