On Thursday (my birthday) we took the Gipfelwelt 3000 cable car up to the summit of the Kitzsteinhorn, for the most spectacular views of the Hohe Tauern mountains. The viewing platforms are 3000 metres above sea level, and are accessible via a tunnel which is carved into the mountain. It was freezing cold and windy, but entirely worth it.
