Forgotten streams

This is a close up of one of the three fountains sculpted in bronze by Cristina Iglesias to represent the riverbed of the Walbrook. The Walbrook was instrumental to the Romans when they first settled in London, but it became a polled mess and was diverted underground in the 1460s. The sculptures can be seen near the new Bloomberg Headquarters, which were built on Watling Street, the former Roman road.
I love the mix of moving water and still bubbles, this is a great b&w shot and a fav.

I really like this how the waters are converging together. I almost thought it was a photo from Storm Ani at first.
